Care & Maintenance
Your waterhousing is a fine piece of equipment and it needs to be maintained and taken care of in order for it to offer you years of service.
✓ The most important thing you can do is to wash the waterhousing with copious amounts of fresh water after each use.
✓ Towel dry and disassemble the waterhousing in a clean environment, free of blowing sand.
✓ The inside of the waterhousing does not need to be rinsed. Wiping it with a clean, dry or slightly damp soft cotton cloth is sufficient. (Microfiber cloths can also be used.)
✓ Do not use any type of solvents or harsh detergents as this may cause damage to the Plexiglas windows. Dishwashing soap and a soft cloth can be used on the exterior of the waterhousing.
✓ Denatured Alcohol or Methylated Spirits can be used to remove stubborn stains and this is the only solvent we recommend as it will not harm the Plexiglas.
✓ Keep the control shafts well lubricated with Essex silicone grease.
✓ Use a dedicated hard case to transport your waterhousing.
✓ Do not leave your waterhousing in a hot location such as a locked car on a very hot day as temperatures can easily soar to the heat deflection point of the polyurethane shell.
✓ Never store your housing for an extended period of time with the latches in the closed and locked position.
